The Editorial Team is pleased to announce the second issue of HAS – Humanities, Arts and Society Magazine, with the leading theme: "Between Anxiety and Hope".

HAS Magazine has been established as part of the Humanities, Arts and Society project, an international movement of artists, researches and creative projects demonstrating the impact of the arts and humanities in society. HAS Magazine is the next step in this project and the continuing partnership between UNESCO-Most, the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH), Mémoire de l'Avenir, and the Global Chinese Arts & Culture Society (GCACS).

CALL FOR PAPERS 

The European Society for Aesthetics is proud to open a call for abstracts for its 2021 conference, to be held online. The Organisers invite papers from all traditions and on any topic in philosophical aesthetics, and both systematic and historical presentations are acceptable. Submissions must be long abstracts (800-1200 words in length) presenting not only the main ideas and claims of the paper, but also the arguments in favour of them. 

Deadline for submissions of long abstracts: 15 Januar, 2021.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Bullshit Studies is a developing scholarly discipline. The guest-editors, Thorsten Botz-Bornstein (Gulf University for Science & Technology, Kuwait) and Adrian Mróz (The Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland) of this upcoming volume of The Polish Journal of Aesthetics invite researchers to submit relevant articles on bullshit within the domains of art and aesthetics. The theoretical framework consists in reworking philosophical assumptions about truth and fiction. How do falsehood, unfalsifiable claims, or nonsense  give a voice to creative and fictive processes?

The Annual conference of The Nordic Society of Aesthetics will take place ONLINE, organised by Aarhus University, Denmark, between 20-21 May, 2021, focusing on the topic of “The Aesthetics of Attention”. The aim of the conference is to investigate the relationship between aesthetics and attention in various ways: In philosophical aesthetics, in art institutions, within the field of art histories, post-/decolonialism and cultural criticism.

The Organisers welcome paper proposals for the International Institute of Applied Aesthetics (IIAA) 14th International Summer Conference investigating the topic “Aesthetics in the Age of Environmental Crises”, organised between 3-5 June, 2021 in Lahti, Finland.

The call is open for scholars, artists, and other professionals working with environmental issues to explore the role of aesthetic values and aesthetic experiences in the age of environmental crises.
